Russian seaports' eight-month throughput rises 5.7% to 468.5 million tonnesIn January – July 2017, Russian seaports handled 449 mln t of cargo (+10.5%, year-on-year), says the press center of Association of Commercial Sea Ports.

Transshipment of dry bulk cargo totaled 205 mln t (+9.8%) including:
89.3 mln t of coal (+16%),
27.5 mln t of containerized cargo (+13.4%),
19.4 mln t of grain (+25.1%),
16.6 mln t of ferrous metal (-1.3%),
9.8 mln t of mineral fertilizers (+5.3%),
1.6 mln t refrigerated cargo (-3.5%).

Loading data on Russian Railways network in January - April 2017According to the figures, published on the company’s website, the network owned by Russian Railways for 7 month of 2017 loaded 727.3 mln t of freight, which is 3.3% more than in the same period last year, including 106.6 mln t (+2.2%) which is loaded in July.

Freight turnover since the beginning of the year amounted 1.4 trn tariff ton-km (+7.1%), freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs amounted 1.8 trn ton-km (+6.7%).
In July 2017 freight turnover amounted 208 bn tariff ton-km (+5.1%), freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs amounted 264.4 bn ton-km (+5%).

In January – June 2017, Russian seaports handled 384 mln t of cargo (+11.3%, year-on-year), says the press center of Association of Commercial Sea Ports.

Transshipment of dry bulk cargo totaled 174 mln t (+10.8%) including:
75.1 mln t of coal (+16.2%),
23.7 mln t of containerized cargo (+14.2%),
16.1 mln t of grain (+32.1%),
14.6 mln t of ferrous metal (+0.1%),
8.5 mln t of mineral fertilizers (+4.8%),
1.4 mln t refrigerated cargo (-4.8%).

In Jan-May’17, Russian Railways loaded the following freight:
149,9 mln t of coal (+9,4%, y-o-y);
4,7 mln t of coke (+1,3%);
99 mln t of crude and oil products (+1,3%);
45,2 mln t of iron and manganese ores (-1,1%);
29,8 mln t of ferrous metal (-0,4%);
5,6 mln t of ferrous metal scrap (+7,4%);
23,8 mln t of chemical and mineral fertilisers (+7%);
9,6 mln t of cement (-1,5%);
19,1 mln t of timber (+4,3%);
8,1 mln t of grain (+6,2%);
52,6 mln t of construction materials (-4,4%);
8,5 mln t of non-ferrous ores and sulphur feedstock (-1,4%);
11 mln t of chemicals and soda (+2,4%);
14,6 mln t of industrial raw materials and molding materials (+14,3%).
In Jan–May’17, freight turnover increased compared to the same period 2016 by 7,4% and amounted to 1022,6 bn tariff ton-km. Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs amounted 1306,8 bn ton-km (+7,1%).

Throughput of Russian seaports review in Jan-Apr 2017In January – April 2017, Russian seaports handled 250.3 mln t of cargo (+10.9%, year-on-year), says the press center of Association of Commercial Sea Ports.

Transshipment of dry bulk cargo totaled 110.9 mln t (+10%) including:
47.3 mln t of coal (+18.8%),
15.2 mln t of containerized cargo (+11.9%),
11.5 mln t of grain (+18.9%),
9.6 mln t of ferrous metal (-1.9%),
5.5 mln t of chemical fertilizers (+6.3%),
1 mln t refer cargo (+0.5%).

Transshipment of liquid bulk cargoes increased by 11.6% to 139.4 mln t including
89.5 mln t of crude oil (+14.6%),
47.3 mln t of oil products (+6.2%),
5 mln t of liquefied gas (+12.6%).

Transshipment of export cargo amounted 197.1 mln t (+7.8%), import – 10.9 mln t (+9%), transit – 18.5 mln t (+12.7%), cabotage – 23.7 mln t (+44.4%).

Total container throughput of Russian seaports in January-April of 2017 increased by 12% year-on-year to 1.44 mln TEU, including import — 620.3 thou TEU (+14.4%), export 608.37 thou TEU (+10.7%), transit — 14.29 thou TEU (-13.1%), cabotage — 200.64 thou TEU (+11.3%).

New regular block train “First Container Express” has linked St. Petersburg and Moscow

New regular block train “First Container Express” has linked St. Petersburg and MoscowNew railway service “First Container Express” has started its regular course which is the following: the “First container terminal” (the Big port of St. Petersburg) – the terminal “Freight Village Vorsino” (Vorsino station of Moscow railway) – the “First container terminal” (the Big port of St. Petersburg).

The main advantage of the service “First Container Express” is the ability to transport cargo, which is in the terms of customs transit, on a regular basis in the framework of the time schedule and the price fixed for a long period of time.

Transit travel time is 38 hours. Departure from St. Petersburg (the First container terminal) is on Thursdays, and from Moscow (Vorsino station) is on Tuesdays.

The project was implemented by Navigator FORWARDING and TFC Navigator LOGISTIC, Global Ports, Freight Village RU and “TransContainer” Companies.

On May, 18th in the framework of the new service there will be the seventh departure of the train from port of Saint-Petersburg to the Moscow. Just within two weeks of the work of the service 6 container trains were made up and shipped. Three of them were shipped from Saint-Petersburg and three of them from Moscow.

“First Container Express” is the second regular railway service for containers shipment in container train that is organized by Navigator FORWARDING and TFC Navigator LOGISTIC companies from the terminals of Global Ports group. The container train “Ust-Luga Express”, which course is Ust-Luga port – Moscow – Ust-Luga port, works successfully twice a week since October 2013.

Throughput of Russian seaports up 2.6% to 437.4 mln t in 8M’15In January – March 2017, Russian seaports handled 183.3 mln t of cargo (+9.5%, year-on-year), says the press center of Association of Commercial Sea Ports.

Transshipment of dry bulk cargo totaled 80.1 mln t (+9.3%) including:
33.8 mln t of coal (+15.8%),
11 mln t of containerized cargo (+10.6%),
7.2 mln t of ferrous metal (+3.3%),
8.2 mln t of grain (+14%),
4.1 mln t of chemical fertilizers (+4.3%),
0.7 mln t refer cargo (+6.8%).

Transshipment of liquid bulk cargoes increased by 9.7% to 103.2 mln t including
61.4 mln t of crude oil (+10.3%),
36.8 mln t of oil products (+7.9%),
3.8 mln t of liquefied gas (+15.2%).

Transshipment of export cargo amounted 114.7 mln t (+6.7%), import – 7.9 mln t (+9.1%), transit – 13.8 mln t (+7.8%), cabotage – 16.9 mln t (+44.2%).

Total container throughput of Russian seaports in January-March of 2017 increased by 11.8% year-on-year to 1.07 mln TEU, including import — 458.81 thou TEU (+12.4%), export 456.35 thou TEU (+12.3%), transit — 10.38 thou TEU (-16.2%), cabotage — 145.42 thou TEU (+11.1%).
