Throughput of Russian seaports review in Jan-Aug 2017In January – November 2017, Russian seaports handled 716.7 mln t of cargo (+9%, year-on-year), says the press center of Association of Commercial Sea Ports.

Transshipment of dry bulk cargo totaled 339.3 mln t (+10.6%) including:
141.1 mln t of coal (+13.3%);
43.8 mln t of containerized cargo (+12.6%);
43 mln t of grain (+33.4%);
25.5 mln t of ferrous metal (-1.6%);
15.9 mln t of mineral fertilizers (+9.7%);
2.8 mln t refrigerated cargo (+0.5%).

Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo increased by 7.5% to 377.4 mln t including:
232 mln t of crude oil (+11.8%);
128.1 mln t of oil products (+0.3%);
13 mln t of liquefied gas (+6.4%).

Export totaled cargo handled 552.2 mln t (+6.7%), imports – 32.7 mln t (+13.6%), transit – 52.8 mln t (+14.4%), short-sea shipping – 78.8 mln t (+20.6%).

Total container turnover of Russian seaports for 11 month of 2017 increased by 15.6% year-on-year to 4.2 mln TEU, including imports — 1.77 mln TEU (+17.2%), loading export – 1.1 mln TEU (+11.2%), empty export – 678.7 thou TEU (+28.4), short-sea traffic — 620.39 thou TEU (+6.5%), transit — 60.53 thou TEU (+22.9%).
In reporting period refrigerated containers handled 397.52 thou TEU of which import – 302.64 thou TEU, short-sea shipping – 544.3 thou TEU, export – 40.2 thou TEU, transit – 48.03 thou TEU.

Loading data review on Russian Railways network in Jan-Nov 2017According to the figures, published on the company’s website, the network owned by Russian Railways for 11 month of 2017 loaded 1.151 bn t of freight, which is 3% more than in the same period last year, including 105.7 mln t (+3.5%) which is loaded in November.

Freight turnover since the beginning of the year amounted 2.27 trln tariff ton-km (+6.5%), freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs amounted 2.89 trln tariff ton-km (+6.1%).
For November 2017 freight turnover amounted 210.8 bn tariff ton-km (+5.7%), freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs amounted 268.9 bn ton-km (+5.3%).

First Container Express from FCT In January – October 2017, Russian seaports handled 649.5 mln t of cargo (+9.3%, year-on-year), says the press center of Association of Commercial Sea Ports.

Transshipment of dry bulk cargo totaled 306.5 mln t (+10.4%) including:
129.1 mln t of coal (+13.8%),
39.7 mln t of containerized cargo (+13%),
37 mln t of grain (+31.3%),
23.1 mln t of ferrous metal (-2.3%),
14.3 mln t of mineral fertilizers (+8.8%),
2.5 mln t refrigerated cargo (+2.5%).

Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo increased by 8.3% to 343 mln t including:
210.7 mln t of crude oil (+12.6%),
116.8 mln t of oil products (+1.2%),
11.8 mln t of liquefied gas (+7.2%).

Export totaled cargo handled 500.6 mln t (+6.9%), imports – 29.6 mln t (+14%), transit – 47.7 mln t (+15.4%), short-sea shipping – 71.4 mln t (+21.9%).

Total container turnover of Russian seaports for 10 month of 2017 increased by 16.2% year-on-year to 3.8 mln TEU, including imports — 1.61 mln TEU (+17.9%), loading export – 962.9 thou TEU (+10.2%), empty export – 614.4 thou TEU (+29.3), short-sea traffic — 567.7 thou TEU (+9.2%), transit — 53.9 thou TEU (+23.5%).

Freight turnover since the beginning of the year amounted 2.06 trln tariff ton-km (+6.5%), freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs amounted 2.62 trln tariff ton-km (+6.2%).

4 years since the launch of the regular container rail service “Ust-Luga Express”

Ust-Luga Express organized by Navigator FORWARDING and Navigator LOGISTIC CompaniesOctober 26, 2017 – 4 years since the launch of the regular container rail service “Ust-Luga Express”, which departing from Ust-Luga Container Terminal (port of Ust-Luga) to Vorsino station (the Kaluga region) and back.

3. Transportation of containers from Vorsino station to Ust-Luga Container Terminal (port of Ust-Luga)

Ust-Luga Container Terminal (ULCT) belong to a Global Ports Group which is a deep-water ice-free port located on the territory of a new commercial Ust-Luga seaport in the Gulf of Finland Luga Bay. The capacity is 440 thousand TEU per year.

Vorsino station (Borovsky district, the Kaluga region) is located 20 km from Industrial Park Vorsino, which is 1837 hectares, incorporates enterprises with different industry fields. 570 hectares of the Industrial Park Vorsino is a multimodal freight-logistic terminal “Freight Village Vorsino” on-site customs and rail terminal and cross docking warehouse netwrok, class “A” as well.

NCSP Group cargo turnover for 8M 2015 grew 2.6% to 92.6 mln tIn January – September 2017, Russian seaports handled 580.2 mln t of cargo (+9%, year-on-year), says the press center of Association of Commercial Sea Ports.

Transshipment of dry bulk cargo totaled 272 mln t (+9.3%) including:
115.6 mln t of coal (+13.4%),
35.4 mln t of containerized cargo (+13%),
31.1 mln t of grain (+26.9%),
20.8 mln t of ferrous metal (-3.3%),
12.7 mln t of mineral fertilizers (+7.2%),
2.2 mln t refrigerated cargo (-1.8%).

Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo increased by 8.8% to 308.2 mln t including:
188.6 mln t of crude oil (+13.7%),
105.8 mln t of oil products (+0.7%),
10.5 mln t of liquefied gas (+8.8%).

Export totaled cargo handled 447.6 mln t (+6.4%), imports – 26.7 mln t (+15.4%), transit – 42.8 mln t (+17.3%), short-sea shipping – 62.9 mln t (+21.5%).

Total container turnover of Russian seaports for 9 month of 2017 increased by 15.9% year-on-year to 3.4 mln TEU, including imports — 1.45 mln TEU (+17.9%), loading export – 855.68 thou TEU (+9.2%), empty export – 556.87 thou TEU (+29.2), short-sea traffic — 500.3 thou TEU (+9.1%), transit — 56 thou TEU (+17.9%).
In reporting period refrigerated containers handled 326.5 thou TEU of which import – 252.2 thou TEU, short-sea shipping – 500.26 thou TEU, export – 29.8 thou TEU, transit – 48.03 thou TEU.

New tariffs for regular block-trains of the Company

Ust-Luga Express organized by Navigator FORWARDING and Navigator LOGISTIC CompaniesFrom 1st of October 2017 there was a change of tariffs on “Ust-Luga Express” and “First Container Express”.

For regular block-train “Ust-Luga Express” there were changes in only departure of empty containers according to the scheme Free On Truck Vorsino – Free On Rail ULCT and departure of according to the scheme Free On Truck Vorsino – Door Industrial Park Vorsino – Free On Truck Vorsino.

Freight turnover since the beginning of the year amounted 1.84 trln tariff ton-km (+6.6%), freight turnover taking into account empty wagon runs amounted 2.35 trln ton-km (+6.3%).

Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo increased by 10.8% to 277.3 mln t including:
169.9 mln t of crude oil (+16%),
95.1 mln t of oil products (+2.2%),
9.4 mln t of liquefied gas (+10.1%).

Export totaled cargo handled 399.4 mln t (+7.5%), imports – 24 mln t (+17.1%), transit – 38.4 mln t (+18.3%), short-sea shipping – 55.2 mln t (+25.5%).

Total container turnover of Russian seaports for 8 month of 2017 increased by 16.4% year-on-year to 3.04 mln TEU, including imports — 1.3 mln TEU (+18%), export – 1.27 mln TEU (+17.3%), short-sea traffic — 436.66 thou TEU (+9%), transit — 41.52 thou TEU (+26.6%).
In reporting period refrigerated containers handled 300.02 thou TEU of which import – 235.84 thou TEU, short-sea shipping – 39.03 thou TEU, export – 25.11 thou TEU.

Basin specification:

Operators of the Arctic Basin terminals handled 48.7 mln t of cargo (+62.2%, year-on-year) including 29.68 mln t of liquid bilk cargo (up in 2.4 times) and 19.09 mln t of dry cargo (+8.8%). Throughput of port of Murmansk amounted 34.3 mln t (+71.2%), Varandei – 5.81 mln t (+8%), Sabetta – 4.78 mln t (up in 4.3 times), Arkhangelsk – 1.56 mln t (-19.6%), Dudinka – 0.82 mln t (+5.8%), Kandalaksha – 0.93 mln t (up in 2.4 times).
Container turnover in ports of Arctic Basin in reporting period up 1.6% to 92.34 thou TEU, from which is the main part it’s a short-sea shipping – 90.6 thou TEU (+2.3%), export – 0.6 thou TEU, import – 1.16 thou TEU. The volume of transshipment of refrigerated containers amounted 2.85 thou TEU. Container turnover in port of Murmansk in reporting period amounted 27.44 thou TEU (+3.3%), Dudinka – 34.87 thou TEU (+5.1%), Arkhangelsk – 24.04 thou TEU (+3.9%).

The ports of the Baltic Basin for 8 month handled 164.63 mln t (+5.9%) including 68.32 mln t of dry cargo (+17.3%) and 96.31 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (-0.9%). The port of Ust-Luga handled 67.5 mln t (+12%), Primorsk – 40.1 mln t (-7.4%), Big Port St. Petersburg – 35.3 mln t (+10.6%), Vysotsk – 11.7 mln t (+4.4%).
The container turnover in Jan-Aug 2017 in ports of Baltic Basin increased by 11.4% to 1.49 mln TEU, including loaded export – 482.4 thou TEU, empty export – 248.5 thou TEU (+27.3%), import – 760.4 thou TEU (+10.8%), short-sea shipping – 1 TEU (-99%). Container turnover of Big Port St. Petersburg up 9.9% to 1.28 mln TEU, port of Ust-Luga – 49.3 thou TEU (-8.2%), Kaliningrad – 164.6 thou TEU (+34.8%).

For Jan-Aug of 2017 seaports of Azov – Black Sea Basin handled 172.3 mln t (+9.1) including 72 mln t of dry cargo (+6.5%) and 100.3 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (+11%). Increased the volume of cargo handling operators of port of Novorossiysk to 96.7 mln t (+12.7%), Tuapse – 17.8 mln t (+6.3%), Kavkaz – 21.5 mln t (+4.4%), Taman – 9.9 mln t (+16.8%), Rostov-on-Don – 8.8 mln t (+4.4%), Kerch – 5.6 mln t (-9.5%), Azov – 4.19 mln t (+1%).
Container turnover in ports of Azov – Black Sea basin amounted 499.25 thou TEU (+16.4%), including export – 250.81 thou TEU (+18.1%), import – 238.69 thou TEU (+15%), short-sea shipping – 9.23 thou TEU (+4.7%), transit – 0.64 thou TEU (up to 3.4 times). The reefer container handled 75.8 thou TEU which of in import direction – 74.6 thou TEU, in export direction – 1.16 thou TEU. Container turnover in port of Novorossiysk up to 489.33 thou TEU (+16.8%), Azov – 4.82 thou TEU (+21.8%), Sevastopol – 4.39 thou TEU (+0.6%), Kavkaz – 0.66 thou TEU, Rostov-on-Don – 0.05 thou TEU (-94.1%).

The ports of the Caspian Basin handled 2.4 mln t of cargo (-36) including 1.7 mln t of dry cargo (-6.1%) and 0.7 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (-64.1%). Throughput of port of Makhachkala down 60.6% to 0.8 mln t, Astrakhan to 1.4 mln t (-6.4%), Olya port – 138 thou t (+39%).
Container turnover of the Caspian Basin in January – August 2017 amounted 1.59 thou TEU (+18.4%), including export – 683 TEU (+18), import – 636 TEU (+19.3%), short-sea shipping – 274 TEU (+17.6%).

The ports of Far East Basin up to 129.1 mln t (+6.3%) including 78.8 mln t of dry cargoes (+7.7%) and 50.3 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (+4.1%). Port Vostochny handled 46.2 mln t (+3.3%), Vanino – 19.9 mln t (-0.5%), Nakhodka – 16.3 mln t (+5.3%), Prigorodnoye – 11.2 mln t (+8.5%), Vladivostok – 11 mln t (+19%), De-Castri – 8.2 mln t (-9.9%), Posiet – 5.1 mln t (+3.5%).
The Far East Basin ports container throughput in reporting period increased by 27.6% to 959.44 thou TEU, including loading export – 142.7 thou TEU (+22.4%), empty export – 140.8 thou TEU (47.1%), import – 298.5 thou TEU (+46.1%), transit – 40.9 thou TEU (+25.4%), short-sea shipping – 336.6 thou TEU (+11.2%).
