Throughput of Russian seaports in Jan-Apr'16In January-April 2016, Russian seaports handled 225.5 mln t of cargo (+5.5%, year-on-year), says the press center of Association of Commercial Sea Ports.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo totaled 100.7 mln t (+12.0%) including 39.9 mln t of coal (+11.1%), 13.5 mln t of containerized cargo (+3.0%), 9.8 mln t of ferrous metal (+6.6%), 9.6 mln t of grain (+49.2%), 7.0 mln t of cargo carried by ferries (+25.0%), 5.2 mln t of mineral fertilizers (+3.9%), 2.8 mln t of ore (up 1.8 times), 1.9 mln t of timber (+7.4%), 1.3 mln t of non-ferrous metal (+2.5%) and 1.0 mln t of reefer cargo (+8.3%). Transshipment of metal scrap fell to 1.3 mln t
(-9.3%).

Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo increased to 124.8 mln t (+0.8%) including 74.5 mln t of crude oil (+8.4%), 44.6 mln t of oil products (-9.6%) and 4.5 mln t of liquefied gas (-3.0%).

Transshipment of export cargo totaled 182.8 mln t (+5.3%), import cargo – 10.0 mln t, transit cargo – 16.4 mln t (+4.6%), coastal trade cargo – 16.3 mln t (+17.0%).

Operators of the Arctic Basin terminals handled 13.6 mln t (+19.9%, year-on-year) including 8.2 mln t of dry cargo (+9.4%) and 5.4 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (+40.3%). Port Murmansk handled 9.0 mln t of cargo (+30.0%), Varandei – 2.6 mln t (+19.2%).

The ports of the Baltic Basin handled 77.0 mln t (+2.3%) including 48.9 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (+2.6%) and 28.1 mln t of dry cargo (+1.6%). The port of Ust-Luga handled 30.2 mln t of cargo (+6.4%), Primorsk – 21.4 mln t (+7.6%), Big Port St. Petersburg – 15.7 mln t (-8.0%) mostly due to decrease of oil products transshipment (-33.8%), Kaliningrad – 4.1 mln t (-4.6%).

Throughput of Azov – Black Sea ports climbed to 74.4 mln t (+4.3%) including 29.9 mln t of dry cargo (+21.1%) and 44.5 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (-4.5%). Operators of Novorossiysk terminals handled 45.0 mln t of cargo (+3.5%), Taman – 4.1 mln t (+5.5%), Rostov-on-Don – 3.5 mln t (+32.7%), Kerch – 2.5 mln t (+35.7%), Azov – 1.9 mln t (+32.1%), Yeisk – 1.2 mln t (+19.2%), Tuapse – 8.2 mln t (-5.6%), Kavkaz – 5.9 mln t (-1.9%).

The ports of the Caspian Basin handled 2.2 mln t of cargo
(-10.5%) including 1.1 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (-19.3%) and 1.1 mln t of dry cargo (-0.5%). Transshipment via the port of Astrakhan increased by 3.1% to 0.9 mln t, via Makhachkala – down 17.1% to 1.2 mln t, Olya – down 35.7%.

The ports of Far East Basin handled 58.3 mln t (+9.3%) including 33.4 mln t of dry cargo (+15.4%) and
24.9 mln t of liquid bulk cargo (+2.0%). Port Vostochny handled 21.4 mln t (+2.8%), Vanino – 9.7 mln t (+14.9%), Nakhodka – 7.6 mln t (+14.7%), Vladivostok – 4.5 mln t (+14.3%), De-Castri – 4.1 mln t (+26.3%), Posiet – 2.8 mln t (+44.4%), Prigorodnoye –5.5 mln t (-3.8%).
