According to the latest figures issued by JSC of RZD, loading on the network of Russian Railways in January-March 2018 amounted 315.7 million tons (+3.5% y-o-y), from which 112.4 million tons accounted for March.

Freight turnover
In January-March 2018 freight turnover on Russian Raiways network amounted 636.2 bn. tariff ton-km (+4.6%), freight turnover into account empty wagon runs – 811.7 bn ton-km (+4.1%). From which 224.2 bn tariff ton-km accounted for March, with taking into account empty wagon runs – 285.7 bn. ton-km (+4.1%).
Transhipment of container
For first quarter 2018 on Russian Rail network transported 1 million TEU (+12.6%) which is:
in domestic direction – 430 thou. TEU (+3.5%);
export – 274.8 thou. TEU (+16.7%);
import – 198.3 thou. TEU (+21.6%);
transit – 100.6 thou. TEU (+30.1%).
In March 2018 container transportation on network amounted 360.2 thou TEU (+9.3%).

Carriage of passengers
During the January-March 2018 the infrastructure of Russian Railways carrying 252 million passengers (+3.2% y-o-y), of which: suburban passenger numbers – 229.9 mln. (+2.7%), long-distance passengers – 22.1 mln. (+8.8%). Passenger turnover in reporting period amounted 23.9 bn. Pass-km (+3.4%).
