Description of delivery of the simulator to the customer:
An example of successful sea delivery of cargo with its further transportation by land can be the organization of work on the transportation of the Airbus A-320 flight simulator from the Netherlands to the “Pulkovo” airport (St. Petersburg).
The prices offered by us for the complex of logistics and customs services were the most acceptable – and the order from the largest Russian holder of the Airbus fleet, was given into our hands.
How was all of this transported?
The flight simulator was fitted in disassembled form in five standard containers (one 20-foot and 4 “forty”) and three wooden boxes with dimensions 3.57 x 2.87 x 2.95 m, 5.4 x 4.4 x 3.25 m and 5.4 x 2.82 x 3.28 m. This meant that at the stage of road delivery we had to transport oversize load. Indeed, the journey of the simulator by sea from the Netherlands to Ust-Luga went normally, without any excesses.
And at the road stage of transportation it was necessary to coordinate the itinerary in advance, to obtain a special permit for the transportation of oversized cargo. The trip of the simulator from the port to the airport was accompanied by State Road Traffic Safety Inspection. In General, the entire delivery operation was successful and without any hitches.
