3 years since the launch of Container Block Train “Ust-Luga Express”

Navigator Logistics and Navigator Forwarding Companies are celebrate the 3rd birthday of its “Ust-Luga Express” Service. “Ust-Luga Express” Service – is Express Container Block Train running between the Port of Ust-Luga – Moscow – Port of Ust-Luga with fixed weekly schedule, 2 times a week. Regular weekly Container Block Train “Ust-Luga Express” was launched on October 26, 2013. Since the beginning of this year, “Ust-Luga Express” has done 120 voyages, which is 30% more compared from the same period of 2015.

The specialists of company are constantly developing the service and make it more convenient and functional for clients. So from February 2015 “Ust-Luga Express” clients an opportunity to send dangerous goods to the station Vorsino; form October 2015 stood up to a weekly schedule second train in a week; from April 2016, was increased the maximum weight of the cargo, accepted for carriage, to 34.5 tons.

Points of departure and arrival of the Container Block Train “Ust-Luga Express” are selected in such a way as to ensure fast and timely delivery of goods between the two largest cities in the Russian Federation, St. Petersburg (Port of Ust-Luga) and Moscow (Vorsino station in the Kaluga region, multimodal transport -logistical terminal Freight Village Vorsino).

Port of Ust-Luga – modern, deep, ice-free port of international importance, located 70 km from the Estonian border and 150 km from St. Petersburg, which has the largest cargo turnover among Baltic Sea ports.
