In January 2018 in Russian seaports handled 61.9 mln t of cargo (+2.4%, year-on-year), says the press center of Association of Commercial Sea Ports.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo totaled 27.9 mln t (+11%) including:
11.8 mln t of coal (+15%);
3.8 mln t of containerized cargo (-8.5%);
3 mln t of grain (+26.3%);
2.5 mln t of ferrous metal (+7.7%);
1.4 mln t of mineral fertilizers (-0.2%);
217 thou t refrigerated cargo (-0.3%).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo decreased by 3.8% to 34 mln t including:
19.9 mln t of crude oil (-2.7%);
11.8 mln t of oil products (-9.2%);
1.7 mln t of liquefied gas (+29.6%).
Export cargo handled 47.9 mln t (-0.2%), imports – 3 mln t (-0.2%), transit – 5.1 mln t (+19%), coastal freight shipments – 5.8 mln t (+1.5%).
In January 2018 total container turnover of Russian seaports increased by 11.8% year-on-year to 378.8 thou TEU, including imports — 167.4 thou TEU (+14.4%); loading export – 94.7 thou TEU (+9.8%); empty export – 62.5 thou TEU (+12.3%); coastal freight shipments — 48.7 thou TEU (+7.6%), transit — 5.5 thou TEU (+5%).
